In some Australian jurisdictions - for example, WorkCover NSW - incentive and assistance programs are available to employers who are able to employ injured workers in suitable paid employment. These clients can be valuable potential employees as they often have significant transferrable skills and on-the-job experience. The employer can be eligible for substantial financial incentives, premium calculation exemptions and protection from further injury under some workcover schemes.
APM can offer employers free assistance with recruitment, training and staff retention. Work trials are a no-risk and obligation-free way of making sure that a potential employee is a "good fit" for your team. All insurances associated with offering a potential employee a work trial are generally covered by the relevant state or territory workcover body.
APM will job-match potential candidates and their resumes will be made available for your review. APM will facilitate the interview, work trial and job-placement process from start to finish. APM can discuss and apply for funding for any relevant training that your employee will require as part of their paid employment position.
