Interview with Ellen - Employment Services Regional Administrator, Dubbo (NSW)

Q: How long have you been doing what you do (with APM, and other companies)?

A: I have been with APM for two years.

Q: What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work and the contribution you can make at APM?

A: Making a difference. While I don’t work directly with our clients, I know that my contribution to this company is invaluable in aiding the people that do work with them to change their lives and make a difference in the world, one client at a time. Knowing this really makes my work seem worthwhile and makes it important to me.

Q: What are the best aspects about working for APM? What makes APM great?

A: The best aspects about working for APM are the variety of work that I do - I am never bored in my job - the people I work with and the opportunities. APM feels like my second family. Everyone works together and helps each other out. It’s a great team to work with and I can honestly say that I have never been happier in my career. Not only are the people great to work with, but there are so many opportunities in this company because of how many sites across Australia there are and because of the IT systems we use. I am able to work out of Dubbo as the Regional Administrator for Victoria/Tasmania - I love that I am not limited by my geography with APM.

Q: Where can you be found when you’re not working? What’s your favourite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?

A: When I am not working, I am spending time with friends and family - going to movies, shopping or swimming. But my favourite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon is curled up with a good book.
