What you need to know before 1 November

From 1 November 2025, Disability Employment Services (DES) changes to the new Inclusive Employment Australia program.

If you’re a DES participant, here’s what you need to know - and how APM can support you.

What is Inclusive Employment Australia?

The new program is similar to DES, but with a bigger focus on personalised support to help you achieve your goals.

There’s no time limit on how long you can be in the program, and you don’t need to be getting Centrelink payments to join.

It will also allow more people with a disability, injury, or health condition to get the support they need.

In some areas providers may change and participants will be assigned to a new provider for 1 November.

Find out more on our FAQs page.

What happens next?

You’ll get a letter from the Department of Social Services with the name of your Inclusive Employment Australia provider.

  • If APM is listed - great! You don’t need to do anything. We’ll continue working with you.
  • If you’re matched with a different provider but want to stay with APM, we’ll help you switch back.

How to stay with APM

Between 24 Sept – 16 Oct, you can:

  • Visit your local APM office with your letter, and we’ll help you make the change.
  • Or call the DES Transition Line on 1800 227 337 and ask to stay with APM (Advanced Personnel Management).

We’re here to help make the changes as simple as possible.
