International human services provider APM today announced it has expanded its market share in South Australia by purchasing jobactive and Disability Employment Services (DES) provider ARA Jobs.

Executive Chairman Paul Fiddes said the acquisition was part of APM’s growth strategy by combining strategic acquisitions with on-going organic growth.

"This is an extremely exciting acquisition and we very much look forward to welcoming the 33 ARA staff who will join our APM family while helping 2,600 job seekers find sustainable employment," Mr Fiddes said.

"Each year APM helps more than 100,000 Australians and we are committed to further growing our business to enable us to help even more people."

"Importantly and strategically, acquiring ARA means APM now delivers jobactive in South Australia along with Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania."

ARA has eight jobactive regions and a small specialist DES contract in metropolitan Adelaide.

Mr Fiddes said there were no redundancies as a result of the acquisition and APM was looking forward to welcoming ARA staff into the APM family.

Mr Fiddes said it was an exciting time in APM’s history with on-going growth and development of the national and international businesses.

"APM is experiencing significant growth and opportunity," he said.

"We are always seeking to expand our business into new sectors and territories, and we look forward to more exciting news in the future."
