Members of the team were joined by City of Port Phillip Mayor Councillor Bernadene Voss and Carolyn Briggs, an elder from the Boon Wurrung Foundation, to officially launch the start of operations from the site.
The team has been growing in recent months to ensure APM clients continue to get the best possible customer service and to assist more people to find the support they need.
APM’s customer service centre has teams dedicated to Employment Services programs, Disability Employment Services and jobactive.
Any job seeker, employer, client or potential customer can call 1800 APM APM (276 276) and receive the industry’s leading customer service by a team based in Australia.
There are also teams dedicated to APM’s Assessment Services and WorkCare enquiries.
As the voice of Assessment Services, the team talks to our aged Australians around the country to help them live comfortably in their own homes by organising assessments and providing the support they need.
Our WorkCare team provide support and assistance to both employees and employers helping to keep a fit and healthy workforce in action across the country.
The new centre also comes as APM expands the delivery of Disability Employment Services.
From 1 July APM will be delivering Disability Employment Services to 91 employment areas – the largest of any provider in Australia.
The new South Melbourne office is one of more than 500 locations where Australians can find their local APM team.
