Whether you've been unemployed for a long time, recently lost your job, or living with an injury, illness or disability, we can help you find a job

If you’re a mature job seeker, a young job seeker or about to leave school we have services for you. If you're an Indigenous Australian, or a skilled migrant looking to find your next job, we're ready to help you get to work.

Whatever your age, location, culture or background, we know how hard it can sometimes be to get back to work. When you come to APM, we listen to you, learn about your life and aim to deliver a job seeker program that works for you.

Our services include jobactive and Disability Employment Services support programs which vary depending on your circumstances. Both programs include help with:

  • building your job searching skills
  • creating a strong, attractive resume
  • preparing you for job interviews
  • speaking confidently with potential employers
If you have been referred to APM by Centrelink, then you’re in the right place. If you have been referred to APM by another organisation, we can help you too.

If you’re going to Centrelink for help to find work, make sure you ask for APM to be your employment services provider, so you get the best service with your job search.
If you haven’t yet registered at Centrelink, come and see us first. We will guide you on how to register and get started with APM as your employment services provider.

What to expect from your first appointment with APM

When you come to your local APM office, you’ll meet your friendly, experienced APM employment consultant who is dedicated to you and your job search.
Once you’ve registered with Centrelink and confirmed that APM will be your employment services provider, you will need to contact us directly to make an appointment.
When you make your appointment your employment consultant will email you a survey, which you will need to bring to your first appointment.

At this first meeting, we’ll talk through how we help and what you need to do. We want to get to know you and understand where you’re at.

We’re interested in your strengths, your goals and any challenges to finding employment.

Contact us for more information on what to bring to your first appointment.
