Supporting the Salvo's Christmas Appeal

Published on 12 Dec 2018

APM has donated $29,000 to The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.

The cheque was handed to the charity after APM committed to donate $29 for every job seeker successfully helped into work by APM Employment Services and for every injured employee the APM WorkCare team assisted in returning to work.

APM made the commitment last month, with Employment Services and WorkCare teams joining forces to meet the target of helping 1,000 people from 1st to the 30th of November.

APM chose The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal to support in order to help more families and individuals in need over the festive period.

The donation will help provide meals, hampers and food vouchers to those people in need of support.

Vanessa Corbett, APM General Manager of Engagement, presented the cheque to The Salvation Army and said everyone at APM was proud to support the cause.

“We’re delighted to be able to support people in need at this time of year,” Vanessa said.

“At APM our focus has always been to enable better lives in all our services, so to meet our target for helping people find work and return to work, and then to support additional people and families in the communities we serve, is fantastic.”

“We hope our donation will provide some extra support and comfort to the people who need it most.”
