Mohammad and Ingeus Germany transcript
Mohammad Agha: I came to Germany. Life is good. I’m Mohammad Agha, and I am 28 years old. I was in Roth at Ingeus Roth, and the Roth Job Center arranged for me to go to Ingeus and Ms Scheer helped me a lot.
Angela Scheer: My name is Angela Scheer. I am a social education worker and for the last three years, I have been working at Ingeus as a job coach. I’m especially proud of one particular customer story at our location in Roth and that is of Mr Agha. He is originally from Syria and was looking for a job as an office administrator. He had already trained and worked in this role in his home country. He came to us with this request and also a lot of job applications that he had written, more than 50 of them. Unfortunately, none had been successful.
Mohammad Agha: They helped me a lot. First of all, they had helped a lot of people before me. And secondly, they offered people a lot of opportunities.
Angela Scheer: From my perspective, if there is a situation where the customer is having difficulty, the most important thing you can do is to rebuild their self-esteem.
Siawash Nadjimi: The first contact came through Ms Susanna Schindler, who is the employment coordinator at the company Ingeus. I had already had considerable contact with her previously. She offered for Mr Agha to support us in the department because she also knew from our conversations that we needed someone like that. Mohammad not only has a lot to offer the office when it comes to office duties, but his presence is valuable, particularly from a customer contact perspective. Mr Agha is the type of person who has a lot of patience. I think to an extent, he has developed this since becoming a father. On the other hand, he also brings warmth with him, typical of the oriental culture. Of course, that also means that mistakes are more easily forgiven and that their conduct towards others is considerably more informal, and also very loyal.
Angela Scheer: As a result, I believe we convey to the client that we believe in his abilities and that we trust that he is capable of doing it. And even at times, when he is beginning to doubt his own skills, we support him by believing vicariously in his dream and show him that – bring a positive energy.
