New APM office for Bowral

APM is expanding its employment services for people with disability and local businesses in Bowral.

The NSW community is one of the locations APM is expanding the delivery of Disability Employment Services.

Eligible people living in or near Bowral will be able to register with APM and access support in finding a suitable and meaningful job.

Businesses will also be able to work with APM to hire new staff members in the community, without the cost of expensive recruitment services and with access to wage subsidies, equipment and workplace modification initiatives.

APM is Australia's largest contracted provider of Disability Employment Services and aims to help 300,000 people improve their life through employment support every year.

APM is ready to help people with a disability find work in the Highlands

Human services provider APM will open an office in Bowral to assist people with a disability find meaningful work.

Disability Employment Services (DES) CEO Karen Rainbow said, APM’s experience and intimate understanding of the disability labour market would help local job seekers and employers.

“One of the secrets to APM’s continued success over many years has been the dedication of our teams to improving life outcomes for people with a disability,” she said.

“We have the understanding of local job markets to make a difference in people’s lives and help employers find great staff.”

Ms Rainbow said there were many benefits to hiring people with a disability, including wage subsidies and workplace modifications.

“One of the cornerstones of our success is that our consultants spend a lot of time understanding the individual needs of job seekers and work with them to get ready for employment, including training and other assistance.”

“We then carefully align their skills with the needs of an employer to make sure there is a strong match, and once they have a job, we are there to support them and help out when needed,” Ms Rainbow said.

The location of the Bowral office ;is yet to be decided.
