Luvenit's ideal inclusive hiring partnership transcript
We found Ngaire through APM. Adam got in contact with us at Luvenit and just about, you know, starting a partnership. He really just assured us that he would be there every step of the way to just support us and the candidates. It made us really feel reassured, that he also screened all of the candidates before presenting their resumes to us, which just really put us, you know, at ease and just trusted in the method that APM is providing for these lovely candidates.
I've worked with Louise and Zoe from Luvenit for a couple of years now, I guess, and just very flexible employers and very understanding of taking candidates on that need that extra support. So I felt even though maybe the skill sets didn't completely match, I felt the personalities would really match, and Ngaire would excel.
Adam really handpicks the candidates that he sends through to us. He also really understands the role that we need them to play, and you know, what sort of like person they need to be, to be able to work for Luvenit.
Being in a partnership with APM, it does reduce the screening time and recruitment time of a candidate, which means that we can get some other stuff done behind the scenes being a busy business.
First of all, you want to make sure the candidate is comfortable and safe in an environment, and then your hope is for them to progress through and exceed expectations. So Ngaire has gone from doing a couple of days a week cleaning, to supervising a small team.
I finally feel like I'm on the right track. I'm actually doing well and have an employer that works really well with me and I feel comfortable with and yeah, it's nice.
APM provide us with a wage subsidy for training the candidate as we have a two week training period, and that just really helps be able to get the candidate up to scratch and help us with a little things that they might require as an individual.
I'm just happy to have an employer that embraces me and makes me feel comfortable and works with me.
Just because they have a barrier or, you know, a disability, doesn't mean that they're not going to be an asset to your business. We've had quite a lot of APM candidates and I can say confidently that every single one of them brings an asset to our team.
