Ngaire EC video transcript

The first phone call I had with APM was really positive. They wanted to know more about me and not just “What can you do?” and “How quickly can you start?” It was getting to know me more so that we could actually find a job that fit into what I needed and what I was capable of.

At APM we focus on people's strengths and I guess ‘can do’ traits instead of ‘can't do’.

And yeah, I think that's really important because I believe there's an opportunity out there for everyone and with the support of someone like APM we can definitely help that candidate succeed. I feel as if we're not just an employment agency but we are we're there to support with mental health wellbeing as well.

And just having someone to talk to like a consultant or myself, would just be so beneficial to get through a hardworking day. You just got to make sure that that relationship between the employer, APM, and the candidate is so strong because it's quite tough out there in the working environment and we got to make sure that everyone's kind of supporting each other.

It's so rewarding because you know people around you that have been in similar situations and it's hard to take when sometimes you see people struggling and seeing someone struggling, and then getting a job and then doing so well in the job it's just, so rewarding, and it feels as if you you've helped along the way to really change someone's life.
