Rhiannon on making a real difference transcript

Rhiannon: APM have really good knowledge with people with disabilities. We’re always constantly learning, and constantly up-skilling ourselves to deal with our clients and their barriers. With that, we find the appropriate employers who also want to work with out clients with those disabilities and barriers and just give people a chance, and it’s great. So what we know, we help employers know about our clients because at the end of the day, they’re still people. They’re still just normal human beings. They’ve just got a couple of barriers to the employment. So finding that niche and that foot in the door is just brilliant. So staying connected with our job seekers is very important because a lot can change in a small period of time. Their job, their medical issues, their mental health, staying on top of that ensures that they are being well, being healthy, making sure that their employment is safe, making sure that we’re taking care of their employment and any issues that arise. And also ongoing support is important for the individual and the job seeker to make them become independent as a worker, to help them build that independence and keep going forward in their life. So they don’t need APM anymore, but hopefully they stay with us.
