Scott on how APM supports his workplace transcript

Scott: I think it’s really important to have a business like APM giving assistance to people like Kyle. I appreciate how much effort goes into giving a person with a disability support, and appreciate the background work. So I know how much APM would work in the background for Kyle in terms of discussing how they can help him further or help somebody else in a work industry just to benefit their everyday life. So APM will come in and they’ll just have a look at what Kyle does, make sure if he needs anything, which is good. And I think given the fact that Kyle has a fair bit of independency here too, that has helped APM sort of realise just how much Kyle’s able to do on his own, he often does bring up the fact that he’s blind and he will say like, “Someone could probably do it better”, but also at the same time, he’s like, “I’d like to see him try”. I definitely think there are employers out there that would go, “Probably give it to somebody else because the can probably get the job done”. But I’m telling you, I wouldn’t sit at a desk for 4 hours just doing that job, but Kyle will come here every Tuesday and Thursday and do that job without complaints and then go home and then be like, “I’ll see you either next week or see you Thursday”. Like, yeah, it blows my mind.
