Onilda and Ingeus Spain

When Onilda connected with Maru at Ingeus Andalucía, she didn’t realise how quickly her life would change.

Ingeus Andalucía conducts employment orientation programs that provide employment guidance to participants and accompany them throughout their job search.

“From the moment I signed up for this company, I felt different, you know?”

Onilda was currently unemployed and had only informal work experience, so the challenge was finding a secure job that would give her the stability she was looking for.

Maru spent time with Onilda to get to know her better and listen to find out what her individual needs were.

“When Onilda started with us, through individual sessions she had with me, in those sessions we focused on her work goals, designing her career goal, and designing her resume as well,” said Maru.

Thanks to Maru, Onilda remembers how her life changed almost immediately, “Seeing Maru’s support, she enrolled me in many companies, and I thought, this is when my life is going to change, and it happened in the blink of an eye. They called me as soon as I enrolled.”

But starting employment didn’t mean Maru’s support stopped.

“As soon as she found her job, and before she even got the job, we provided continuous follow-ups. Why? Because we care about knowing their situation, if they are happy at work.”

Now, Onilda is on her way to the future she dreamed of for her and her daughter.

“Every day I get up, and I’m very, very excited to go to my job because I like it. I want to tell others, come to this program, you will be supported, and they will find you a great job and I want to thank them with all of my heart.”
