When you come to APM, we listen to you, learn about your life and deliver a program that works for you.

If you have been referred to APM by Centrelink, then you’re in the right place. If you have been referred to APM by another organisation, we can help you too.

Our programs vary in the type of support depending on your needs, but they each include steps to help you:

  • Speak confidently to potential employers

Get started with jobactive

The jobactive program helps people find a real and sustainable jobs. APM's jobactive consultants know where the jobs are and will talk you through how you can identify the best jobs for you to apply for, and match you to local employers.

Disability Employment Services

If you have an injury, illness or disability, we can help you find a job, stay in work, and help identify what you need to make your job easier.

Indigenous employment

If you’re an Indigenous Australian and you want to get to work, we’re here to help. APM supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers to find work through our range of specialised services.

APM and Centrelink

APM works with Centrelink and the Australian Government to help job seekers, people with disabilities, Indigenous Australians, retirees, carers, youths and people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds find a job.

New Business Assistance with NEIS 

NEIS helps eligible job seekers set up and run their own small business.

If eligible you get help with a business plan, training, professional business advice and mentoring for the first 12 months.

All of the training is at no cost, and we’ll also provide you with access to materials.


APM delivers the ParentsNext program on behalf of the Australian Government in Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.

If you're required to join ParentsNext, you will be notified by Centrelink and assigned to a provider.

If you're assigned to APM, you can rest assured you're in safe hands.

Your first appointment with us

When you come to your local APM office, you’ll meet your friendly, employment consultant who is dedicated to you and your job search.

Once you’ve registered with Centrelink and confirmed APM will be your employment services provider, you will be contacted by us directly to set up your first appointment.

Your employment consultant will also email you a survey, which you will need to bring.

At this first meeting, we’ll talk through how we help and what you need to do. We want to get to know you and understand where you’re at.

We’re interested in your strengths, your goals and any challenges to finding employment.
