APM Employment Services has been named as a provider of the new Workforce Australia support programs for job seekers.

Workforce Australia, which starts on July 1, is an update to programs including jobactive - which currently helps unemployed people prepare for work, search for and gain employment across the country.

APM Employment Services is a leading provider of jobactive and will continue to assist job seekers through the new Workforce Australia programs Enhanced Services, Career Transition Services, Employability Skills Training and Transition to Work.

Support provided by APM across the programs will vary depending on each individual’s circumstances and eligibility.

Most programs include assistance with identifying types of work a job seeker would be suitable for, help with resumes, job applications and performing in job interviews.

Delivered across designated employment regions, the programs also enable job seekers to get advice on local labour markets and insights on potentially suitable employers.

APM currently delivers jobactive in 18 out of 51 employment regions. The new Workforce Australia programs will see APM help job seekers in 27 regions.

APM Group CEO, Michael Anghie welcomed the announcement.

“APM looks forward to our continuing partnership with the Department of Education, Skills and Employment to support positive employment outcomes for job seekers across Australia.

“We are well placed to transition to the new program given our geographic reach, skilled people and experience delivering successful employment services programs.

“The contract award creates the platform from which to positively impact the lives of more people each year across our business.”

“We are also pleased to enter a new market for APM, being Transition to Work, where APM is the largest new market entrant, and through this program we look forward to supporting Australia’s youth in achieving their skills, education and employment goals.

“I would like to thank our 2,000 committed employment services team members whose hard work and strong performance supporting Australia’s job seekers enabled these contract awards.”

APM Employment Services is also Australia’s largest provider of Disability Employment Services, helping job seekers with an injury, illness or disability to overcome barriers to employment and find sustainable work.
