Creative Wholesale Distributors is a wholesaler and distributor specialising in toys, games, collectibles, gifts and novelties.
When Anais Yliche started her business with the support of the New Business Assistance with NEIS program she was a working mum selling toys from her home.
The NEIS program has been delivered by APM Employment Services since February 2020. It was previously delivered by Konekt Employment.
From 1 July 2022, Self-Employment Assistance replaced the NEIS program.
As her product range grew, so did her business. She became so busy she even struggled to find time to design her business card.
Anais built a great website and online store for her business and was fortunate enough to make some exceptional connections with both suppliers and customers.
As her business continued to grow, she negotiated stock rebates with her suppliers.
Unfortunately, things in business don’t always go according to plan and Anais had further challenges when she had a fire in her home. Thankfully no stock was damaged but she realised she would need to find more suitable space to store her stock.
Overcoming every obstacle in her path, Anais pushed forward.
Realising she needed an edge over her competitors and not being a fan of flying herself, she sent her husband to the Hong Kong Trade Fair to find new products that focused on the collectors market.
This proved to be a sound decision and as her business grew rapidly she changed from a Sole Trader to a company and started looking for a bookkeeper.
Anais has negotiated distributor rights for Australia and New Zealand for Bottlepops (talking head bottle openers of famous characters like Deadpool and Donald Trump) which have proven very popular.
She also negotiated the Australian distributorship for Inkology. She continues to increase her stock holdings as she gears up for further growth.
