Australia’s biggest Disability Employment Services (DES) provider APM has consolidated its industry leading position with its best-ever performance in the latest Government DES Star Ratings for the March 2018 quarter.
APM finished the last published cumulative three year rolling Star Ratings for March 2018 with its best rating for both the DMS and ESS programs – overall APM returned 3.84 stars for March 2018 compared to 3.81 stars in the December 2017 period.
Karen Rainbow, Chief Executive Officer Employment Services, said APM’s ESS program experienced a strong surge over the March quarter, returning 3.7096 stars compared to 3.52 in December.
APM’s DMS star rating for the March quarter was 3.9193, up from 3.917 in December 2017.
APM has the largest number of DES contracts with 93 rated contracts - 62 in DMS and 31 in ESS – and these latest figures once again underscore its long track record and industry leading performance in getting people with disability jobs.
“We have been helping people find and stay in employment for more than 20 years, and we’ve seen first-hand the value and health benefits a secure job can bring,” Ms Rainbow said.
“The long term social and economic benefits of getting people into jobs is well documented and we will continue working with employers to get results.”
For many years APM has worked closely with small to medium employers and Ms Rainbow said it was also working closely with many of Australia’s biggest corporations to find jobs for people with disability.
She said APM was busy getting ready for the new DES contract, which starts on July 1. APM, which currently holds more than 12% of the total DES market, remains the largest contract provider and is set to expand its national disability employment offering into 30 new Employment Service Areas (ESAs).
APM was established by Megan Wynne in Perth in 1994 and has grown to become a leading international human services organisation delivering employment, injury management/vocational rehabilitation, assessment, allied health intervention and community care (aged care and disability care) services.
APM delivers these services from more than 500 locations nationally across Australia, and in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. To date, APM has helped more than a million people.
