For Zoe Ng, building a career has always meant balancing her strengths with the challenges of navigating unfamiliar environments.

A journalism and communications graduate, Zoe has lived with autism since childhood. Labels never meant much to her, but she has always known that social nuances and workplace dynamics could feel overwhelming.

When Zoe came to Ingeus, she was juggling part-time roles and had experience in teaching.

What she wanted, though, was a stable career path and the confidence to pursue it.

That’s when she met Vidhya, her career coach. Together, they set out to create a structured plan that aligned with Zoe’s interests and aspirations.

Vidhya recalls, “So when Zoe came to Ingeus, she needed a lot of guidance in building a strong and stable career. So what we did is that we did a structured career plan. We also discussed in a lot of sessions on what she wanted to do next, what is her area of interest?”

One of the most valuable parts of the program was preparation.

With Vidhya’s support, Zoe learned how to approach interviews with confidence, write formal emails, and manage what she calls her “work anxieties.”

Reflecting on the experience, she says, “Without Ingeus, I feel like I would have really struggled, especially with the job interview and job hunting process, because I am unable to read the work nuances. It’s a completely new and unfamiliar environment.”

For Zoe, this tailored approach turned uncertainty into opportunity.

The coaching was not just about finding work, but about giving her the tools to thrive once she was there.

As Vidhya explains, “It’s not about just finding jobs or helping with interviews but actually helping people to change the dynamics in their life.”

Today, Zoe is more confident and prepared for the future.

She is building the foundations for a stable and fulfilling career and no longer feels alone in navigating unfamiliar environments.
