Self-Employment Assistance by APM Employment Services helps people set up, develop and grow their own small business.

  • Workshop a business idea
  • Create a business plan and develop your business skills
  • Provide you with accredited training in small business*
  • Connect you with business coaching from experienced and local experts in a range of industries
  • Self-Employment Assistance participant in their plant business

Existing small business owners can also access Self-Employment Assistance to develop their business plan, access accredited training, undertake a business health check and access business advice sessions.

Small business coaching participants will have access to collaborative and personalised support from our Self-Employment mentors for 12 months.

All with the goal of giving you the best possible start in business.

You may qualify for Self-Employment Assistance if you are:

✓ At least 15 years of age (to access workshops and training) 

✓ At least 18 years of age (to access Small Business Coaching)

✓ An Australian Citizen, or permanent resident, eligible to work in Australia

✓ Not an undischarged bankrupt

✓ Able to commit to Self-Employment Assistance training and work full-time in your proposed business
