The appointment follows WorkCover Queensland's decision to take these services to tender, with the aim of having a panel of the best available providers to create greater levels of efficiency and monitoring of provider performance.
"APM is delighted to continue what has been a very successful, long-running partnership with WorkCover Queensland," said APM Group Chief Executive Officer, Michael Hobday.
Since 2002, APM's relationship with WorkCover Queensland has grown.
APM provides assessment and return-to-work services, such as functional capacity evaluations, workplace assessments, creation and monitoring of suitable duties plans, vocational counselling and assessments, job-seeking training and finding host placements to assist with a graduated return to work.
"To be chosen as one of the top providers supplying these services is a credit to our committed team of allied health professionals in Queensland, particularly those who have experience working with WorkCover Queensland for a number of years," Mr Hobday said.
"We look forward to continuing to service WorkCover Queensland and its customers."
Previously, over 200 providers were registered to provide these return-to-work services in Queensland. The tender process has reduced the panel to 37 providers.
The panel appointment is for three years, with a two-year option to renew at the discretion of WorkCover Queensland.
Established in 1997, WorkCover Queensland is a government-owned enterprise that provides workers compensation insurance and helps injured workers to recover and return to work.
