Aejung and Ingeus Korea

Aejung was finding it hard doing work she wasn’t suited to after being reassigned to a branch office by the investment and securities company where she worked.

When she retired voluntarily, her employer provided job change support through Ingeus. Now she’s happier than ever.

As with many people who haven’t been in the job market for a long time, Aejung was apprehensive.

“At first, I had low expectations because I thought it might simply be a formal and common type of service," she said.

"However, while receiving counselling through Ingeus advisor Meeae Kim, I was able to have a chance to think about myself again and get comfort at the same time.”

Meeae Kim from Ingeus spent time to get to know Aejung

Meeae Kim spent time to get to know Aejung and help identify the best path forward.

“In the career counselling process, I noticed Aejung’s active mind and that she wanted to live her own independent life.

"First, she had work experience at the Investment & Securities company. In the long run, we set the goals with writing, which is her interest.”

With this goal in mind, Aejung received support and training to help her find a new role, which included advice on writing her resume, choosing companies to apply to, and appropriate interview coaching during the job process.

Meeae and Aejung identified two investment and securities companies she could apply to, and she was offered positions from both at the same time.

So she got to choose!

Thanks to the support of Meeae and Aejung’s hard work, it couldn’t have worked out better.

“After changing my jobs, I have been able to work more actively in my life. And I think I am incomparably happier,” said Aejung.
