Malaschenko and Ingeus Switzerland

This carpenter is building a new home in Switzerland

Volodymir spent 15 years building up his carpentry business to support his large family in Kherson, Ukraine.

When the war began, his house and carpentry were bombed and he lost everything.

Forced to flee with his family, he eventually arrived in Switzerland and was cut off from his family, with no job and no German language skills.

That’s when Ingeus stepped in to help.

At first, Elena, an Ingeus Coach, believed it would be easy to get him employed, “I thought [he] would have engaged in a job position in no time. He is a really skilled person. He is pretty shy, which meant that the job interviews were not successful. The big challenge was to look for personal discussions with the carpentries to explain what a great talent he is.”

Felix from Chef Bau und Holzwerker recognised Volodymir’s skills and found him a place, “He has made great progress. The most important task was for him to learn German so that he understands all the tasks that we give him. Our goal for the future is that he will receive his own company car to be able to visit clients on his own and get the work done for them.”

It's not just about helping Volodymir.

Ingeus also makes it easier for the employer.

In this case, Ingeus took care of the work permit and paperwork associated with refugee status, so Felix only had to issue the employment contract.

After such a traumatic time, Volodymir’s experience with Ingeus has been a good one, “My coach Elena is such a lovely person! She helped me so much. I quickly realised that she got really excited about me finding a new job. I’m together with my family now, and my kids are at a great school. And now my wife and I are learning German.”
