On behalf of APM, Karen Rainbow, Chief Executive Officer – Employment Services, presented the cheque to John Williamson from The Salvation Army.

These funds were donated due to our Christmas Campaign.

APM Employment Services and APM WorkCare teams not only reached but exceeded the target of placing 1000 people into jobs across Australia between Monday 20th November to Sunday December 17th.

For most of us Christmas is one of the happiest times of the year, but it can be a time of significant hardship, loneliness and struggle for many.

Facts you may not know about Christmas

  • One in 10 Australians report they cannot afford to buy enough food
  • Salvos aim to provide 10,000 meals in 150 centres during Christmas week
  • 2.5 million Australians live below the poverty line - 603,000 are children
  • More than 70,000 people will come to the Salvos for care
