Who is APM Employment Services?
APM Employment Services is a Workforce Australia provider delivering support to job seekers and eligible unemployed people.
Our support will enable job seekers to access various activities and services depending on their individual needs and goals.
All services will be aimed at enabling job seekers to find, apply for, start and keep working in suitable employment.
APM Employment Services has been selected to deliver Workforce Australia Services support, and other programs including:
- Specialist Services for CaLD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) job seekers
- Specialist Services for Indigenous Australians
- Transition to Work
- Self-Employment Assistance
- Career Transition Assistance
- Employability Skills Training
Eligibility for all programs and the level of support depend on an individual’s circumstances and location.
What about jobactive?
The jobactive program will be replaced by the Workforce Australia programs from July 1.
If you are currently registered with APM Employment Services for jobactive, your local employment consultant will contact you to let you know if your service will change.
You will also receive a letter from the Department of Employment, Skills and Education to advise you of the changes in your local area.
If you’ve been invited to join Workforce Australia Online to self-manage your job search but would like to have the support of a provider instead, contact your local APM Employment Services team to see if we can help.
What’s different about Workforce Australia?
If you’re unemployed, but ready to find and start work in a job, you will be registered with Workplace Australia Online.
From 4 July you can access your account via the new website workforceaustralia.gov.au or the Workforce Australia app.
To sign in, use your current jobactive account details. Your new Workforce Australia Online account will have your information, including a copy of your current Job Plan for your reference.
This platform will allow you to:
- Carry out your own job search and your job reporting requirements
- Sign up for online programs to increase or gain new skills
- Access tools to help with online learning and job searching
- Contact the Digital Services Contact Centre via phone or email for help
- Apply for financial help for job requirements such as police checks, completing micro-credentials such as white cards
If you’ve been invited to join Workforce Australia Online but would like to have the support of a Workforce Australia provider instead, contact your local APM Employment Services team to see if we can help.
