Last Friday night, hundreds of Telethon families had a special night out at the footy thanks to APM and Rio Tinto.

APM donated 500 tickets to the 3 September finals blockbuster between the Geelong Cats and Greater Western Sydney Giants.

Along with a further 500 tickets donated by Rio Tinto, 1000 west aussies – sick kids, people with disability and their families - got to experience the electric AFL finals atmosphere.

And the smiles on their faces said it all.

Telethon raises much needed funds to provide equipment for children in WA hospitals and research into life threatening diseases that affect children.

Little Telethon star Eamon Doak got to attend his first ever AFL game, supporting his beloved Cats, who won by 35 points.

“So many clients that are excited to be able to take their family and their children” said APM WA State Manager Marina Chalmers. “It’s a really great opportunity to celebrate all together.”

APM were delighted to sponsor this special occasion for hundreds of WA families, the same week Perth was announced as host of the 2021 AFL Grand Final on 25 September.
