How we can help

Everyone’s situation is different, so we take the time to understand your goals and create a plan that works for you.

Your personalised Job Plan may include:

Help updating or creating your résumé
Support with job searching, applications and interviews
Identifying your transferable skills and strengths
Access to accredited training, licences and upskilling
Insights into what local employers are looking for
Opportunities to access jobs not publicly advertised
Guidance if you’re interested in starting your own business
Ongoing, side-by-side support throughout your journey
Continued support after you start your new role

We may also be able to help with funding for training, work-related items or professional services, so you can overcome barriers and get job-ready - at no cost to you.

Am I eligible?

You may be able to access Workforce Australia support if you:

have been retrenched in the past six months, or
have received notice of retrenchment within the last three months

In some cases, your partner may also be eligible.

To get started, you’ll just need your employment separation certificate or letter of termination.

What to expect

If you’re receiving income support, there may be some mutual obligations to meet.

Don’t worry - we’ll explain everything clearly and help you stay on track.

Where possible, you’ll have flexibility to choose activities that suit you, such as job searching, training or skill development.

Support for employers

If your business is going through redundancies, connecting your employees with support early can make a real difference.

We provide a free, personalised service to help people move into new opportunities, including résumé support, job searching, training and access to financial assistance.

You can simply refer your employees to us - we’ll take it from there.
