If you’re ready to start an apprenticeship in clean energy or housing construction, you could get up to $10,000 in support - and APM Apprenticeships is here to help you every step of the way.

The Key Apprenticeship Program (KAP) is a new initiative from the Australian Government to help young people train, earn, and grow in jobs that are in high demand.

From 1 July 2025, if you start or restart an eligible apprenticeship, you could receive up to $10,000 - on top of your regular pay.


What kinds of jobs are included?

There are over 65 occupations in clean energy and housing construction to choose from, including:

  • Solar and renewable energy
  • Electrical and plumbing trades
  • Carpentry and building
  • And many more future-focused careers

Support for employers too

If you're a business hiring apprentices, you could get up to $5,000 in government support:

  • Full-time apprentices: $2,000 after 6 months, and $3,000 after 12 months
  • Part-time apprentices: $1,000 after 6 months, and $1,500 after 12 months
