Through their discussions, Hope decided to explore opportunities in the hospitality industry.
As part of her support with Workforce Australia and with Meg's encouragement, she obtained her Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Gambling Services (RSG) certifications.
Shortly afterwards, Hope had secured a position at the local bowls club, with APM helped her new employers access a wage subsidy to cover costs during her training period.
Over the next six months, Hope's confidence grew as she adapted to her new role, enjoying the camaraderie with her co-workers and the satisfaction of serving customers.
After reaching her six-month milestone, Hope had regained confidence and passion for work, and felt ready to return to HR.
So Meg helped Hope to update her resume and search for suitable positions.
Hope's perseverance paid off when she landed a HR Manager role with Queensland Berries.
To ensure she was well-equipped for her new job, APM even provided the necessary work boots.
Hope is now thriving in her new position.
"APM didn’t just help me get a job. My consultant was like a personal and professional coach – Meg helped me regain my confidence, skills, and drive after being isolated in a caring role,” she said.
“She was instrumental in gluing myself back together and finding my true personal and professional self again."
Hope's story highlights the transformative power of employment and the positive impact of APM's support.
