Marc finds a force for better wellbeing and work

When Marc first connected with APM Ryde, managing his mental health made job searching feel overwhelming.

He was uncertain about his next steps and needed more than just help finding work.

That changed when Marc met his APM Employment Consultant, Matthew.

From the start, Matthew created a safe and supportive space, listening with empathy and care as part of the Workforce Australia program.

Recognising Marc needed emotional support, Matthew referred him to counselling, helping him work through stress and regain hope for the future.

At the same time, Matthew proactively reached out to employers, promoting Marc’s skills for roles that weren’t yet advertised.

Marc gained practical assistance with training, work equipment and clothing, to help him feel confident and prepared to take the next step.

Regular check-ins kept him motivated and allowed the team to adjust support as needed.

Marc and Matthew’s combined efforts led to an opportunity with local business Team Force.

It was a huge success.

Marc started working with Team Force and has been consistently putting in 24 hours a week since.

His role has given him stability, a supportive environment, and opportunities to engage socially.

Over time, Marc has developed new skills, improved his wellbeing, and gained a clearer sense of direction.

Reflecting on his success and determination to prepare and find a meaningful job, Marc said: “While others may try to bring me down, APM lifts me up.”

Marc’s story shows how personalised support can make a real difference. If you’re looking for work or need staff for your business, visit apm.net.au to learn how APM can help.
