Rozena's Christmas success story with Workforce Australia

Rozena wanted to return to work so she could support her family, pay medical bills and visit loved ones overseas.

She joined the Workforce Australia program at APM Ryde with determination and hope.

Rozena achieved job success with support from APM

At the APM office, Rozena met Employment Consultant Ida. Ida listened and understood the challenges Rozena faced. Chronic knee pain and stress had forced Rozena to leave previous jobs. She also experienced headaches triggered by cold weather and pressure.

With experience as a finance officer, Rozena was eager to work again. Together, she and Ida created a plan to make that happen.

Ida referred Rozena to counselling through Konekt.

These sessions helped Rozena feel more positive and focused on her goals. Soon after, Rozena secured part-time work as a bookkeeper with The Christmas Company.

The job was far from home, and travel was a challenge with her knee pain.

But Rozena persevered and Ida stepped in with practical support, including comfortable shoes and physiotherapy.

These changes helped Rozena manage her pain and move into full-time work.

Rozena soon successfully reached her 26-week milestone and completed the program.

She told Ida she lives by values that guide her every day: nothing is impossible with faith, strive for independence, give without expecting anything back and keep smiling.
