Sabrina turns experience into a fresh start with Workforce Australia

Sabrina knew what she was capable of.

More than fifteen years of experience, qualifications to match, and a clear picture of where she wanted to go – a role as a financial consultant or business analyst.

But after more than eighteen months out of work, the path back was not easy.

Limited English and no reliable transport were getting in the way of the opportunities she deserved.

With over 15 years of experience and a clear goal, Sabrina needed the right support to return to work. Find out how APM helped her land a full-time role as a Cloud Consultant through the Workforce Australia program.

When she came to APM Ryde through the Workforce Australia program, her Employment Consultant Matthew got to work.

They met regularly so Matthew could understand exactly what Sabrina needed and what was holding her back.

Driving lessons were arranged so she could get to interviews and workplaces on her own.

A mobile phone was sourced so she could stay in touch with employers and the APM team without missing a thing.

Work clothing, job search help, and interview coaching made sure she walked into every opportunity feeling ready.

Matthew covered every angle.

Sabrina did the rest.

She showed up, stayed engaged, and kept going even when progress felt slow.

That persistence paid off in a big way.

Sabrina landed a full-time role as a Cloud Consultant at Technology One Ltd, putting her skills and experience to work in a growing field she is perfectly suited for.

She has since completed more than six months in the role and moved on from the program, exactly as it was designed to work.

"Thank you APM for helping me maintain motivation and supporting me during my unemployment," Sabrina said.

The feeling is mutual.

If you have the skills and the drive but need some support finding your way back, APM is here to help.
