Passion to help leads to rewards for Rochelle

Rochelle, a proud Worimi woman, believes in living live to the fullest — and she does have her hands full with five children — and giving back to her community.

“(At APM) …we all have the same drive and the same passion to provide back to our community, enabling everyone's life to the best that we actually can.

Rochelle works in People and Culture as an administrator at APM and enjoys the bond she now has with the surrounding community.

It wasn't until my later teens, early adulthood, that I started to find out exactly who we were, who I was, what my culture was.

What she discovered was deep family connections in the area, including a street named after her mother’s family

“Learning about that every day and through the local land councils and community, you know, it's just a positive.

Rochelle’s proud of the work she does with APM and finds it immensely rewarding. Especially seeing the positive outcomes of clients who needed assistance

“Overall, having that self of pride at the end of the day that you know, we’ve helped someone along their journey and along their way.

And that support isn’t limited to clients.

Whether it's an employee going through some things that we can provide support to, to helping our clients, stakeholders and everyone — everyone's treated exactly the same and we're all here to enable better lives for everyone as a whole.

Rochelle started as an APM Employment Consultantworking in health services for the government.

She knew the role was perfect for her, right from the start, as her background, and personal beliefs, are all about helping people.

I still had that passion that I wanted to help people, and I just felt my values aligned with APM values.

Due to her dedication and commitment, after less than four years, Rochelle was promoted to her current role. And her passion to make a difference, is as unwavering as ever.

I believe it's not only in your mind to do that, but also in your heart. And by enabling someone’s life, making that small difference, it's going to develop them.

Which hopefully goes down through their culture and their heritage and their longevity for life
