APM's Sydney East Metro employment region posted five stars across streams A, B and C, while the Gold Coast region posted four stars across the three streams.

APM has nine contracts across New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, and Tasmania.

Stream A job seekers are considered the most "job ready"; Stream B need their provider to play a greater role in helping them become job ready, while Stream C have a combination of work capacity and personal issues that need to be addressed to make them job ready.

Group General Manager, Employment Services, Karen Rainbow said the first jobactive ratings showed APM was performing strongly in its contracts and successfully getting unemployed people back on their feet and into the job market.

"Our jobactive teams have performed strongly and it's pleasing to see we outperformed the four biggest providers," Ms Rainbow said.

"But as always we want to do better and will redouble our efforts so we can make a difference to even more of our clients' lives."
