This marks a significant expansion of APM's footprint in the UK, enhancing the Australian-owned company's status as a leading global provider of employment, health care and skills services.

PPDG is a leading provider of employment and skills support in the UK. It is a prime contractor of the Government's Work Programme and formerly delivered the Youth Contract for 16 and 17-year-olds.

PPDG was established in 1997 and has helped more than 105,000 long-term unemployed job seekers into work.

PPDG employs around 600 people and delivers services from more than 40 locations.

"The acquisition of PPDG is an exciting development in the planned growth of APM," said APM's Managing Director, Megan Wynne.

"It brings additional capability and expertise to APM's existing UK business, significantly strengthening our offering in the market.

"It's very pleasing that APM is in a position to take up this opportunity to assist more people than ever before."

APM is working to achieve a smooth integration with PPDG to ensure seamless continuity of the services that PPDG is currently delivering for customers and other stakeholders.

APM's Chairman UK, Bob Leach said: "PPDG is a well respected brand within our sector and therefore, the acquisition of PPDG enhances APM's capacity to assist our customers with overcoming challenges which exist in the marketplace in the UK."

APM is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Alan Cave as Chief Executive Officer of the expanded APM UK.

"Alan is a well known and highly respected leader within the sector," Ms Wynne said.

"His background in the Department for Work and Pensions and in senior roles with human services providers make him highly qualified for the role."
